Basic PC configuration with 8 HDMI outputs for 8 monitors using 2 Nvidia 3050 video cards

By Gabriel ·

Short answer: you do not need exotic hardware to run eight screens. This computer uses two Nvidia 3050 video cards for 8 HDMI outputs, runs Windows 11 Pro with 32 GB of RAM and an SSD, and both cards work at the same time. It is ideal for trading.

In the video I show the monitors, the Nvidia settings, Device Manager and the specs, so you can build the same thing.

The eight-screen setup

The outputs feed a mix of displays:

  • One giant monitor (about 43 in) with four inputs. The monitor can split its screen in four, so it acts like four different monitors even though it is one. It is frameless, so there is no frame in the middle, and it has four HDMI ports in the back.
  • A TCL TV, about 55 in 4K, which works great as a monitor.
  • A smaller monitor.
  • Four 65 in 4K TVs running at 1080p through a special adapter that takes one HDMI input and splits it across the four TVs.

I don't use the four TVs for trading, only as a background for making videos, so 1080p is fine there. The screens I use the most are the others.

Nvidia settings

In the Nvidia settings you can see all the monitors that are connected, with their models, and you can adjust the refresh frequency for each one. That is basically all the configuration it needs.

Both video cards in Device Manager

In Device Manager, under display adapters, you can see the two video cards, and they are both working at the same time. The performance view also shows both GPUs.

Computer specs

  • Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit
  • 32 GB of RAM
  • SSD storage
  • Ethernet connection
  • Two Nvidia 3050 video cards

I never ran out of RAM with 32 GB. With Webull, TradingView and many other things open at the same time, it was using about half of the RAM, and the CPU was under 50%. I leave this computer running 24/7 and it just works. There is nothing special about it.

Arranging the big split monitor in Windows

For Windows, the big monitor split in four looks like four monitors, so you can arrange the screens the way you want in the display settings. You get the space of four monitors without frames in the middle.

Frequently asked questions

How many monitors can two Nvidia 3050 cards run?

In the video, two Nvidia 3050 cards provide 8 HDMI outputs for 8 monitors, and both cards work at the same time.

How much RAM do you need for an 8-monitor trading PC?

This build has 32 GB, and with Webull, TradingView and other apps open it used about half of it.

Can one big monitor count as four screens?

Yes. The 43 in monitor in the video has four inputs and can split its screen in four, so Windows treats it like four monitors.

How do you run four TVs from one output?
