Suspicious link checker

Paste a link you got by text, WhatsApp or email: we point out common red flags and open it in VirusTotal, Google Transparency Report and URLVoid without you visiting the site.

Red flags found

    Check it with security services

The local analysis runs in your browser. The buttons open each service in a new tab with the link (or its domain) so they can check it. No tool is foolproof: when in doubt, don't enter your details.

How to tell if a link is phishing

Text, WhatsApp and email scams use links that imitate banks, carriers, stores or well-known services. Before you tap it, paste it here: we show the real domain it goes to and the most common red flags (shorteners, an IP instead of a domain, look-alike letters, brand names in the wrong place, scam-heavy endings). Then check it on VirusTotal, Google Transparency Report and URLVoid with one click.

    Frequently asked questions

What's the most important thing to look at?

The real domain: the part right before the first “/”. “bank.com.secure-login.xyz” is not bank.com, it's secure-login.xyz.

I already opened the link and entered my details, what now?

Change that account's password from the official app or site, turn on two-factor authentication and call your bank if you gave card details. Check your new password with the password strength checker.

If there are no alerts, is it safe?

Not necessarily. It's a helper, not a guarantee: brand-new sites are not on the lists yet. If an unexpected message asks for data, payments or codes, be suspicious.
